ABOUT US
Why Same Moon Sisters Exists
I don’t make these things because I have life all figured out. I don’t think any of us do.
I make them because I’ve been through hard seasons too. I’ve felt lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of what comes next. And I’ve learned that sometimes, the smallest reminder that someone understands can mean more than we realize.
That’s what Same Moon Sisters is about.
People go through things that change them. Recovery from drugs or alcohol. Leaving an abusive relationship. Losing a child. Losing a job or a home. Depression and anxiety. A terminal illness. Homelessness. Grief. Heartbreak. Or simply waking up one day and realizing life doesn’t look anything like you thought it would.
There isn’t one way to struggle, and there isn’t one way to heal.
I want the things I create to be a reminder that you are not alone.
A lot of the artwork you see here starts with something real. A photograph I’ve taken. Something beautiful I noticed on an ordinary day. Artwork created by my kids. A thought, a feeling, or a moment that stayed with me. I turn those pieces of real life into designs because I believe there is meaning in the things we sometimes overlook.
A moon can remind you that even when you can’t see the whole picture, there is still light somewhere.
A wildflower can remind you that beautiful things can grow in difficult places.
A storm can remind you that it doesn’t last forever.
And sometimes, a simple smile is enough to remind us that there is still joy to be found.
Same Moon Sisters is my way of putting those reminders out into the world.
Erik and I are building Same Moon with a purpose bigger than selling things. We want this to grow into something that gives back and helps people who are struggling. We want people to find encouragement here, feel understood here, and remember that their story isn’t over just because they’re going through a difficult chapter.
Our styles may be different. The way we tell the story may be different.
But the reason behind it is the same.
No matter where you’re at, we’re under the same moon.
You are seen. You are not alone.
